Booking pet transport with NATS takes less than five minutes. Here is everything you need to know about how the process works from start to finish.

The booking process

Choose your service

Select from three service types: door-to-door collection and delivery, pick-up point (drop your pet at a designated Engen station stop), or airport transfer to and from OR Tambo or Lanseria International.

Select your route and date

Choose from our published inter-provincial corridors. We run scheduled trips on fixed dates — select the travel date that works for you. Airport transfers can be booked for any date.

Add your animals

Tell us what you are transporting — dogs, cats, exotic birds, poultry, or other animals. Add your pet's name, breed, and any special notes. Pricing is flat-rate per animal type and size.

Enter contact details

Provide the pickup and drop-off contact information. These are the people our driver will contact on the day of collection and delivery.

Pay securely

Review your booking summary and pay via PayFast — South Africa's leading payment gateway. We accept all major cards and EFT. Your booking is confirmed instantly on payment.

We collect and deliver

You will receive a WhatsApp message the day before collection with your exact pickup time. Our driver collects, transports safely, and delivers to the drop-off contact. You get a WhatsApp update on arrival.

Service types

Door to door

We collect from any address and deliver to any address along our corridors. Best for pets that need individual attention or owners who cannot travel to a stop.

Pick-up point

Drop your pet at a designated Engen petrol station stop on our route. We collect at a fixed time and deliver to the matching stop at the destination. Cost-effective and convenient.

Airport transfer

We collect your pet from your address and deliver to OR Tambo or Lanseria International, or the reverse. Ideal for pets flying domestically or internationally.

Common questions

How are the animals transported?

Animals travel in secure, ventilated carriers in our dedicated transport vehicles. We do not mix incompatible species and ensure adequate space for each animal.

What happens if my pet needs water or food during the trip?

Our drivers make scheduled stops for water and feeding. We recommend providing your pet's own food to avoid digestive issues from diet changes.

Can I track my pet in real time?

We send WhatsApp updates at key points during the journey — collection, en route, and on arrival. Live GPS tracking is on our roadmap.

What animals do you transport?

Dogs, cats, exotic birds, poultry, snakes, small pets, and livestock. Contact us for any animal not listed.

What provinces do you cover?

We cover all nine South African provinces with inter-provincial corridors anchored at Engen petrol station stops.

Is my pet insured during transport?

We take every precaution to ensure your pet's safety. We recommend arranging your own pet insurance for additional peace of mind. Contact us for details.
