South African airlines have strict requirements for travelling pets. Run through this list before you book your airport transfer with us.

Mother vaccination record
Proof that the mother is fully vaccinated. Required for puppies and kittens travelling domestically.

Travelling pet vaccination card
Your pet's vaccination card must be up to date and signed by a registered vet before travel.

Pet dimensions — width, height and weight
You'll need accurate measurements to confirm the right crate size. Measure your pet standing: length nose to tail, height at shoulder, and current weight.

Minimum 8 weeks old
Puppies and kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned before they are cleared to fly.

IATA-approved travel crate
The crate must have secure latches, ventilation on all sides, and enough room for your pet to stand, turn, and lie down. You can bring your own IATA-compliant crate or rent one from the airline when you book.
